Youth Formation for children PreK-Grade 4 programs will enrich your child’s spiritual journey and allow them to explore and deepen their faith.
Children in Level 1 (Pre-K & K) spend time enjoying and nurturing their relationship with Jesus the Good Shepherd. They learn that he knows his sheep, he calls them by name, he searches for the lost sheep, and rejoices with the found sheep. Children learn that Jesus is the Light of the World, that his light is stronger than any darkness, and that they have been given his light and life through Baptism.
Children in Level 2 (1st grade only) continue to enjoy and nurture their relationship with Jesus, focusing on the Parable of the True Vine. Children ponder the connectedness of the vine and the branches and how to remain in His love. Jesus shows us the way to remain close to him and live together in peace and joy through The Maxims and the Holy Eucharist. Children also learn about the History of the Kingdom of God and are invited to be a part of his kingdom.
Wednesdays:
4:30-5:45pm ~ Level 1
6-7:15pm ~ Level 1 & 2 (limited number of spots available for level 2)
Cost: $150
This program is offered at the 9am and 11am Sunday Masses, 2-3 weekends per month for children ages 5-9 years. Through this experience of the liturgy, children hear the Sunday readings accompanied by a short teaching in language that is suitable to their age and inspired by the principles of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Children will exit the main sanctuary with their teachers and aides after the introductory rites to meet in the St. Mary’s Chapel and return during the offertory.
Before mass each week of Children’s Liturgy, stop by our welcome table in the gathering space to pick up your child’s nametag so we can meet you and your child.
